Cheryl's Big Book Deal now,

Cheryl Cole Cheryl Cole For any Cheryl Cole fan, the news that she is to publish her first official book will no doubt be welcomed with open arms.

They say timing is everything, and following her success with a number one single and album, her appearance on The X Factor as a judge, and her split from husband Ashley Cole, all eyes are firmly on the Girls Aloud star.
My World will be an intimate glimpse into her fascinating life, packed full of unseen personal photos and exclusive new shots charting her rise to fame.

Cheryl explained: "I think looking at pictures is a bit like listening to music - it reminds you of what was happening and how you were feeling at certain times in your life.

"Sometimes I look at old pictures and I can’t believe that was me. I think we all do that. I went through a phase of being a bit tomboyish when I loved trainers and Timberland boots and baggy trousers. I had pink streaks in my hair at one point but I was experimenting and at the time I liked it.

"I can look at photos and straight away they’ll bring back loads of memories. That’s really why I wanted to do this book, so I could choose pictures that mean something to me and tell the stories that go with them."

It seems we can't get enough of Cheryl, but you'll have to wait a little longer as the book isn't published until September.

But, in the meantime, if you don't think you can wait that long, come and have a look at our gallery of Cheryl Over Time.

Demi's Rant At Kim now,

Demi MooreDemi Moore
Anyone who uses Twitter will know that Demi Moore is a big fan.

Not a day goes by when Mrs Kutcher isn't using her Twitter account to share inane comments or funny pics with her fans.

But it seems Demi also uses it to champion causes close to her heart, as Kim Kardashian found out to her disadvantage.

After the Kardashian sister posted a seemingly innocent photo of herself with celebrity friends La La Vazquez, Serena Williams and Kelly Rowland, with the caption "Big pimpin w @SerenajWilliams @LaLaVazquez @Kelly_Rowland Love u girls!", Kim felt the wrath of Demi.Kim Kardashian Kim Kardashian

Apparently Demi wasn't happy with Kim's choice of words and tweeted her, asking: "Are you using the word 'pimpin" as in pimping?" to which Kim replied: "Doesn't everyone? LOL." But Demi hit back saying "No disrespect I love a girls night out but a pimp and pimping is nothing more than a slave owner!"

As followers of both celebs tried to explain that Kim probably didn't mean any harm, Demi was quick to reveal her true issue, that we use words without thinking about their real meaning: "It's not her! we have allowed it 2 B considered cool, but it still is what its!"

Realising she'd caused a "s**t storm" with her comments, Demi softened the blow by adding, "Nothing wrong with dancing to Big Pimpin' by Jay-Z in the club! Having a girls night out, gotta love that song."

America Ferrera now,

America Ferrera

Daniel Eric Gold, America Ferrera

No braces here, but, I’d swear in some of the photos I’ve seen, Betty still has them.
Interestingly, Betty is wearing classic post earrings, and the fact that I’ve noticed signifies a change from seasons 1-3.  Betty usually wore her hair straight down over her ears, and you could rarely see her earrings.  In fact, that is still the case when Ferrera is fully in costume:
And, here we see the offending yellow socks.  Something else that’s interesting, in some of the photos, you see these blue and green shoes.  In others, Betty is wearing orangey-red shoes.  I guess they did multiple takes, and will go with the look that focus-groups the best.  Personally, I like the orangey-red, but I know less about fashion than Betty, so they’ll probably go with the blue and green.
OR – the orangey shoes could just be Ferrera’s (they look like they’re made of “Crocs”-type material, and America is just wearing them between takes to stay comfortable).  But then again, they don’t seem to be Ferrera’s style.
I’ve changed my mind: I don’t think Betty and Matt fight at all in this scene.  If anything, it appears that Betty chases Matt down as he jogs, stops him, and kisses him.  It’s really impossible to tell from the photos what Matt’s reaction is.  But, for some reason, this scene reminds me of the funniest line Matt had all season:  “You kissed Antonio Sabato Jr!  With tongue!”
All of this just makes me more excited for Ugly Betty’s return in October.
More colorful photos after the jump!

Amanda Seyfried Little House now,

Michael Bublé now,

Sings a seemingly bruise, slightly battered and passionate-sounding Michael Bublé at the start of his new collection of songs on “Crazy Love.” The song “Cry Me A River” is a story full of sound and fury – of love gone wrong. Bublé’s performance embodies the very essence of the soul of a man whose heart has been torn apart. A bummer tent of rejection and rage.

And that’s just the first song!http://www.celebirony.com/foto/cantantim/Michael_Buble%60/michael_buble_grande1.jpg

You might think you know that tune “Cry Me A River” because it’s already been covered with sly and subtle contempt by artists as diverse as Ella Fitzgerald to Joe Cocker.  But Bublé’s version breathes fresh new fire into the torrid torch song in a while different and often wrenching way. “My songs have always been about love – mine and everyone else’s. But this time it was a little more extreme – and I dug deeper – way deeper,” says Bublé about the collection.
Right away you can feel the real.

Face facts

In an age of warts and all paparazzi photography Vanity Fair Portraits indulges in some unabashed stargazing, which Mark Robertson thinks isn’t such bad thing
We didn’t need Princess Diana to die to know we live in a celebrity-obsessed age. The love/hate relationship between the people and the famous is now more fraught than ever. Fame has never been so easy to come by, but we seem to take even greater joy in seeing anyone with an ounce of public recognition suffer. After all, would the paparazzi still exist if no one wanted to look? With this in mind, the controlled environment of the 150 images in Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913-2008 should seem almost quaint in its contrivance. Yet, this new exhibition, which could well prove the mainstream art hit of the summer, proudly throws up its starry credentials in emphatic style. But this is Vanity Fair, after all, that’s sort of the point.
Over the years, Vanity Fair magazine has become one of the last commercial bastions for high-end, big name photographic portraiture. The exhibition, a labour of love for co-curator and VF editor of creative development David Friend and his collaborators at the National Portrait Gallery in London, lifts 150 portraits from the two ages of the magazine: the jazz era, during which the publication ran until 1936 (before the Great Depression put a stop to it), and its re-launch 25 years ago amid the prosperity and hedonism of the 1980s. The exhibit is split evenly between the two ages and documents some of the cornerstones of photography, from Man Ray, Harry Benson, Mario Testino and Bruce Weber to Vanity Fair’s photographer in chief for much of its second run, Annie Leibowitz. The longlist of choices for the exhibit ran to thousands, and the selection process was a long but satisfying one.
‘Vanity Fair’s editor Graydon Carter says: “It’s not about who you invite to the party, it’s who you don’t invite that makes it”,’ laughs Friend. ‘The images were based on three criteria: that they define Vanity Fair, that some were surprising or revealing in some way and others spoke definitively about either the subject, photographer or era they were taken.’
Vanity Fair’s privileged position has meant they have created a body of iconic images that run the gamut of Hollywood and beyond. Yet, despite its strong political and cultural leanings, the magazine has always had a big crush on those who light up the silver screen and this adoration peppers the entire exhibit. While the subjects rarely overwhelm the viewer, the photographs go beyond simple pap shots. Friend rightly considers them true art.
‘Graydon treats photographers like auteurs,’ he says. ‘There is a trust not only between photographer and subject but also photographer and the magazine. And that’s reflected in the pictures. Our publication commands a certain respect and that’s reflected in the access we get. We tend to elevate the subject in magazines as lush as ours.’
In revisiting the magazine’s near and distant history, Friend and Vanity Fair have helped illustrate how portraiture has changed. Einstein atop a mountain in ski boots and shorts like Arnie? I doubt it, somehow. Julianne Moore posed up like a Reuben-esque model? Not bloody likely. What is impressive is the scale and scope of the exhibition, and while it may not ask too much of us, there are some genuinely breathtaking photographs here, which is all that really matters.

Young Angelina Jolie Unhindered by Fashion Disasters now,

Angelina JolieBefore anyone knew what Brangelina meant, before Angelina Jolie's celebrated humanitarian work, and even before she nabbed an Oscar for "Girl, Interrupted," there was just a 15-year-old girl posing for her first modeling shoot. Sure, she was the daughter of actor Jon Voight, but back then she was just plain Angelina Jolie.

Well, plain is never a word that really applies to Angie, and as these soon-to-be-auctioned pictures reveal, the 34-year-old actress was exceptionally gorgeous even as a teenager.
The black-and-white images are part of Original Vintage Glamour Photography, a collection of photographs that dealer Profiles in History will be auctioning off March 26 and 27.
Angelina's fashion snaps are expected to go for anywhere between $400-600. (In addition to photos of George Clooney and Greta Garbo, the collection also includes some shots of Marilyn Monroe as a teenybopper!)

The arresting collection of images show Angelina in a variety of early-'90s outfits, including cutoff denim shorts with uber-frayed edges, a leopard-print dress, and one get-up that pairs combat boots with an oversized bowler hat.
Another picture shows a demure Angie in a white crop-top with a small braid peeking out from her slightly windblown hairstyle.

A young Angelina mugs for the camera. Courtesy Profiles in History Perhaps the most interesting image, however, is the close-up shot of the 15-year-old Angie in a trim black dress. Even now, that pic could practically pass for Angelina in 2010 -- it's astounding to think how much her photogenic face has stayed the same over nearly 20 years.

Of course, Angie did look like a kid at one point in her life. Pics of the 10-year-old accompanying daddy Jon Voight to the Oscars in 1986 show her in a lacy white dress that boasted zealous amounts of '80s pouf around the shoulders.

Brangelina recently brought 8-year-old Maddox to the red carpet for the premiere of "Invictus." Maddox sported a fetching fedora and a dapper scarf while the family spoke with friend and iconic director Clint Eastwood.

It's nice to see Angelina is protecting Maddox from the fashion faux pas her father allowed her to make. Voight lost that night in 1986 to William Hurt for best supporting actor, but 14 years later, his daughter would carry off the Oscar for best supporting actress. And who knows, maybe in another decade, Maddox will take to the red carpet and collect some Academy Awards love?

Behind "Runaways" film, legal battle simmers Reuters now,

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - At the Los Angeles premiere of "The Runaways" last week, screams reminiscent of a rock concert greeted real-life band members Cherie Currie and Joan Jett as they were introduced with stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart.
Not enjoying a Hollywood moment that night: Jacqueline Fuchs, the fiery bass player who performed in the 1970s all-girl quintet as Jackie Fox but whose absence from the premiere mirrors her disappearance from the story of the Runaways, as told in the new film.
Producers of the punk biopic, which opens Friday, chose to move forward on the project without obtaining Fuchs' life rights or those of Runaways guitarist Lita Ford. As a result, the bassist character was minimized, Fuchs' name was changed and Jett even dropped a cherry bomb of a lawsuit on her former bandmate when she raised a stink about the movie.
"Fuchs tried to have the ... film halted, and has demanded to see the script, even though there is no character based on her," claims a lawsuit for tortious interference with business relationships, quietly filed against Fuchs in December by Jett, her label Blackheart Records and music producer Kenny Laguna. Jett and Laguna are executive producers on the Floria Sigismondi-directed, Apparition-released film.
The story of Jackie Fuchs and "The Runaways" provides timely instruction for producers hoping to develop biopics and other fact-based projects without getting life rights from everyone involved. It also highlights one of the hottest debates in entertainment law: With the rise in popularity of real-life, ripped-from-the-headlines film and TV, what rights are necessary to make a film based on actual people?
