Eric Trump: 'The world will be a safer place because of my dad'

It's slightly hard to grasp the fact that the man sitting opposite, in waterproof golf trousers sipping an iced-tea, is the son of America's commander-in-chief.

Dressed in a white open-neck shirt, navy V-neck sweater and hair slicked back, the 33-year-old could be mistaken for any one of the guests at the family's Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, Co Clare.

Disarmingly polite, he asks where I would be most comfortable sitting during the interview and is concerned that one of his entourage hasn't eaten when our meeting eventually runs over time.

Far from the typical child of privilege you'd expect from New York's wealthiest, the only thing that gives him away as the son of Donald Trump is the ultra-confident gait, self-assuredness - and, of course, the fact that secret service men and gardai are outside the door.

He settles into the couch by a large open fire and looks out on to the perfectly maintained golf course he has spent the morning inspecting. As white waves from the wild Atlantic crash the coastline, a break in the rugged paradise gives him the opportunity to reflect on the biggest political battle in American history.

"They all got it wrong. Every single one of them," he says of America's liberal media. It's a remark delivered with the same satisfaction as if the victory was only yesterday.

"You know, we were a family who has never had anything to do with politics… so the learning curve was amazing."

The biggest lesson he learned was "how dishonest and disconnected the media were from the American population. I also realised how mean the process is. It's something that is not spoken about enough".

Mean?

"Mean," he stresses again.

"Politics is a mean game. I always said real estate is the most cut-throat industry in the world - but it is nothing compared to some of these politicians."

How does it make him feel when he sees the amount of vitriol directed at his father and family?

"I used to get bothered by it but honestly, now? I just shake my head because they all got it wrong. [The American liberals] totally misread the sentiment of the United States because they are so detached from the people of our country. Now it is like they are doubling down because they are so furious they got it wrong."

He goes on: "And it wasn't just by a little bit. The entire map of the United States went bright red [minus a few states] and they are so outraged that they have almost actually gotten worse."

Donald Trump Jr.'s Daughter Chloe Messes Up Her Dad's Hair in Cute Video

So long, perfectly coiffed hair! Donald Trump Jr. shared a cute video of his daughter Chloe messing up his brown locks on Saturday, April 15.

"Chloe beating up her daddy this morning. #familytime #family #weekend #daddysgirl," the 39-year-old businessman wrote on Instagram. In the video, Chloe, 2, tousles her dad's normally slicked-back hair while sitting on his shoulders.

"What are you doing? I thought I was giving you a ride," he says. "I thought I was giving you a ride! Hey, look, I got you. I got you on video. Torturing daddy. I love you."

At the end of the clip, Chloe playfully hits Trump Jr. on his head as she giggles. "Hey, ow!" he exclaims. "You're crazy. You're crazy! Are you crazy? Ow!" see more...

Bella Thorne was pigeonholed

Bella Thorne was rejected from auditions because of her Disney Channel past.

The 'Famous In Love' star says she was unfairly "pigeonholed" by fans and casting directors because of her Disney career, meaning she had to "beg" for auditions.

She said: "Not only did fans pigeonhole me, but casting directors wouldn't read me anymore. They were like, 'No, we don't want her to come in because she's so Disney.' I had to literally beg for an audition."

And after she had auditioned, the casting director congratulated her and admitted he "totally misjudged" her.

She added: "[A casting director] shook my hand in the audition and was like, 'I'm really sorry, I totally misjudged you, you're a great actress.'"

Gal Gadot: I'm too 'smart to be an actress'

Gal Gadot once thought she was too smart to be an actress.

The "Wonder Woman" star recalls being taken aback when she was asked to audition for
Quantum of Solace."

"I said, 'No way,'" the 31-year-old told W Magazine. "I said, 'I'm studying law and international relations. I'm way too serious and smart to be an actress.'"

The Israeli-born star added, "Besides, the script [was] all in English. I spoke English, but I wasn’t comfortable with it."

The iconic kids duo, who recently celebrated a huge milestone, revealed they have had to take out the messier parts of their tour.

Speaking on Sunday Brunch the pair admitted there was an incident during a previous show – including a custard-throwing sketch – which changed their entire routine.

Dick – real name Richard McCourt – told Channel 4 viewers: "We used to throw custard in the audience but we can't do that anymore 'cos we threw it at a kid's face.

Nathalie Emmanuel: I struggled with how my body looks but now I’m comfortable

There is no absence of nudity in Game Of Thrones — but star Nathalie Emmanuel says it has taken her years to feel comfortable with her body.

The actress, 28, who plays the slave-turned-adviser Missandei in HBO’s hit fantasy show, said she felt proud of her naked scene in the series but struggled with the way her body looked during her teens and early twenties.

She said: “There’s that thing where you just compare yourself to every advert or every poster and think, ‘Wait, is that how I should look?’ and I just didn’t look like that.

“I’ve always had to be positive with my thoughts and be like, ‘You know what, how you are and what you are is fine. Even if you gained however much weight, you’re still fine’.

“I’m not saying that I’ve never had unhealthy or negative thoughts with regards to my body, of course I have, but you also have to be proactive with yourself mentally.
